Plane Veers Off Runway in Rome, Injuring 6

A plane carrying 46 passengers veered off a runway during a landing at Rome’s Leonardo da Vinci airport on Saturday, injuring six passengers, an airport official told Reuters. Two passengers suffered concussions and were transported to a hospital, an official said. The injuries were non-life threatening, a senior official told Italy’s Sky TG24-TV. The cause of the accident remains unclear. However, strong winds may have pushed the plane into the grass.
