Windsor Teen Dies In Crash, Four Others Injured

An 18-year-old Windsor High School student died and four others were injured in a crash that happened Monday afternoon on Route 159 near Woody Brook Drive.

Police said Michael Fairnot was killed when the driver of the Toyota Corolla he was riding in lost control while traveling south on Route 159 and veered across the raised-grass median, striking another vehicle.

The operator of the Toyota Corolla, Antoine Lucy, 18, and the other passengers in the Toyota, Aaron Pearson, 18, and a 15-year-old juvenile, were injured. Suada Mulalic, 49, the driver of the other vehicle, a Chevrolet Equinox, also was injured in the crash. They were transported to Hartford-area hospitals. .

Feirnot was pronounced dead at Hartford Hospital. Lucy, Pearson and Mulalic were all treated and for non-life threatening injuries. The 15-year-old passenger is being treated for serious injuries.
