Police: Guilford Man Ran Drug Factory From Home

GUILFORD, Conn. -- A Guilford man was arrested Wednesday, accused of running a drug factory in his home and having commercial-grade fireworks that he intended to sell, Guilford police said.Police arrested Vincent Basilicato at his home Wednesday and charged him with possession of narcotics with intent to sell, operation of a drug factory, illegal possession of fireworks with intent to sell and other charges.Police seized more than $47,000, 29 grams of cocaine, almost 8 ounces of marijuana, a scale and cutting agent for the cocaine, police said. Officers also found illegal commercial grade fireworks in the garage, according to a news release.
Police obtained a warrant to search the house after an investigation by police in Guilford and Branford, as well as members of the FBI in New Haven.
