A second teen accused in the attack on a woman in her New Haven home is being held on a $500,000 bond.

Samuel Evans, 17, appeared in court Monday. He was arrested at a friend's house over the weekend.

Charges against him include kidnapping, burglary, robbery and larceny in connection with the home invasion last Tuesday.

The home invasion was in the city's East Rock neighborhood where police said Samuel Evans and two other men broke into a home and beat up a 55-year-old woman with a baseball bat.

Police said the suspects tied Julia O'Sullivan to a chair as they ransacked her Loomis Place house, stealing computers, electronics and her car.

After the attack, O'Sullivan broke free and managed to call 911. That same night police found her car and arrested Tadd LeClaire, who remains in custody on $500,000 bond.
