Hartford Police Make Arrest In 2003 Keney Park Murder

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. -- Hartford police have made an arrest in connection with the 2003 murder of a Hartford woman.
Garland Porter
Officers arrested Garland Porter, 28, of Bloomfield, Thursday and charged him in the 2003 murder of Valerie Brown.
On April 29, 2003, Brown, who was reported missing on March 17, 2003, was found dead in Keney Park, according to a press release from the Hartford Police Department. The Chief Medical Examiner's Office determined her death to be a homicide.Police said Porter fathered a child with Brown.Porter is being held on a $1 million bond.For the latest news, stay tuned to NBC 30 Connecticut News and NBC30.com
