Boy Hit, Killed By Amtrak Train

Victim's Body Was Found Near Tracks

A 10-year-old Autistic boy was found dead Saturday after being hit by an Amtrak train, Meriden police said.

Police said they received a call that the boy was missing sometime after 6 p.m. Saturday.

The child, who was not immediately identified, was somehow able to get out of his home, NBC 30 Connecticut News reported.

Less than two hours later his body was found near railroad tracks of the Meriden-Berlin line.

Police investigated the boy's death Sunday.
